Capital One is opening its flagship lounge — and largest at 13,500 square feet — in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on June 19, 2025. It’s expected to be open 24/7, and CNBC Select has a sneak peek, plus how you can access this airport lounge next time you travel through.

How to access Capital One lounges

You can access Capital One’s lounges for free with the right credit card, though the number of complimentary visits depends on which card you have. Non-cardholders can still join in on the fun, but will have to pay a $90 entrance fee.

Whether you have a card or not, you must show a boarding pass for a same-day departing or connecting flight to enter the lounge — in other words, you can’t land at your final destination and then hit the lounge before leaving the airport. Lounge access is based on availability, and you may enter up to three hours before your departure time. All children ages two and under receive free entry with an adult.

Cardholder access

Travelers with either the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card, plus their authorized users and account managers, receive unlimited access and two complimentary guest entries per visit through the Partner Lounge Network. This feature will change beginning Feb. 1, 2026, with additional Venture authorized users needing to pay an annual lounge access fee of $125 each. Access for additional guests ranges from $25 to $45.

What to expect at the JFK Capital One lounge

The Capital One lounge at JFK will be 13,500 square feet, making it the largest Capital One lounge yet. It will be located in the retail hall of the airport’s Terminal 4 (T4) and will be the first Capital One lounge to be open 24 hours daily.

Food and beverages

The lounge’s culinary experiences are meant to pay homage to NYC’s vibrant food and beverage scene, thanks to partnerships with local breweries, mixologists, coffee roasters and bakeries.

Unique to the JFK location is an in-lounge bodega, where travelers can order a selection of coffees and bagels featuring popular New York flavors. Capital One partnered with New York staples like Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters and Ess-A-Bagel. Guests will also be able to enjoy the signature grab-and-go items, including breakfast sandwiches, salads, pastries and more.

A selection of local cheeses from the Manhattan-based Murray’s Cheese will be handpicked by a specially-trained cheesemonger. The cheeses will be served alongside cured meats and housemade accompaniments, paired with wine and beer selections. The interactive experience will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The lounge will also debut a new daily ritual: The “Midnight Snack”, an ode to the city that never sleeps. This late-night comfort snack will be served via roaming trolly carts at 12:30 AM for the late-night travelers.

The full-service bar includes a number of creative cocktails that reflect the city’s culture.

Amenities

The JFK location will include several amenities that travelers enjoy in the other Capital One lounges, including a fully stocked shower suite, power outlets at every seat, two private rooms, a parent room and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Aesthetics

Capital One says the lounge is designed to give travelers a taste of NYC’s charm without having to leave the airport. The lounge features over 40 original destination-inspired artworks from New York-based artists, plus artwork made entirely from airplane blankets and hanging glass sculptures.
