Bank of America named several stocks that are well positioned ahead of their quarterly reports. The Wall Street investment bank says companies like Meta Platforms are compelling, with more room to run. Other buy-rated names screened by CNBC Pro include: Roblox, Wex, Coupang and Trip.com. Roblox The gaming company is firing on all cylinders, according to Bank of America. “Tactically, we expect a beat & raise off conservative guidance,” analyst Omar Dessouky wrote ahead of Roblox’s earnings report later this month. The bank admitted that the stock is likely being “driven by broadening participation,” but says it’s still too attractive to ignore at current prices. Shares are up 121% this year through Friday. “We see an extended runway for mid-20% [earnings] growth as users worldwide adopt Roblox’s Metaverse, in a virtuous cycle that will draw developers, brands and merchants to the platform,” the analyst wrote. Roblox reports earnings on October 29. Meta Platforms Analyst Justin Post is also sticking with Meta heading into earnings later this month. Post is “looking for [a] revenue beat to support AI investment returns” and said that investors should pay close attention to Meta’s comments on artificial intelligence. “With reports of additional AI hiring, potential [large language model] & infrastructure deals, and OpenAI social competition, we think updates on Meta’s AI outlook will be a call focus and critical for sentiment,” Post added. In addition to AI, Bank of America says Meta shareholders have other positive catalysts to look forward to. “Ad checks have been constructive, and another quarter of strong ad growth & guide could help reinforce confidence in the durability of Meta’s AI ad engine,” the analyst wrote. Shares of the company are up 26% this year. Wex BofA upgraded Wex to buy from neutral earlier this week. The fuel and fleet payment solutions company is scheduled to report earnings on October 29. “We expect WEX to report positive revenue growth for the first time in four quarters when it reports 3Q results,” analyst Mihir Bhatia wrote. The bank said the stock is a turnaround story with a valuation that’s too attractive to ignore. “We are forecasting mid-single digit revenue growth for in ’26/’27, consistent with its medium-term guide,” he added. Meanwhile, shares are up 23% in the past six months and, after a recent pullback, have plenty more room to run. Trip.com “We see Trip.com as a key beneficiary of China’s rising travel trend. The firm is the largest online/call-center travel agency by revenue and is well-known for its quality customer services … We expect Trip.com to remain an industry leader with exposure to the industry’s long-tail growth potential while investing aggressively for user growth.” Wex “We upgrade Wex (WEX) from Neutral to Buy as we think company is turning the corner on growth and valuation is attractive. We expect WEX to report positive revenue growth for the first time in four quarters when it reports 3Q results … We are forecasting mid-single digit revenue growth for in ’26/’27, consistent with its medium-term guide.” Roblox “Stock likely driven by broadening participation, LT ests … We remain bullish on RBLX shares, both tactically and longer term. Tactically, we expect a beat & raise off conservative guidance … We see an extended runway for mid-20% growth as users worldwide adopt Roblox’s Metaverse, in a virtuous cycle that will draw developers, brands, and merchants to the platform.” Meta Platforms “Looking for revenue beat to support AI investment returns. … .With reports of additional AI hiring, potential LLM & infrastructure deals, and OpenAI social competition, we think updates on Meta’s AI outlook will be a call focus and critical for sentiment … Ad checks have been constructive, and another quarter of strong ad growth & guide could help reinforce confidence in the durability of Meta’s AI ad engine.” Coupang “Coupang is poised to benefit from 1) its differentiated consumer experience, 2) the synergies with the other businesses such as restaurant delivery, OTT etc. and 3) industry consolidation in Korea. We expect Coupang to be one of very few retailers that can gain market share and raise return profile at the same time … CPNG’s earnings should be both driven by the strong growth and margin improvement in product commerce, as well as by the turnaround of the developing offering business.”
